| The day was warm, and we spent hours just strolling along the Thames and admiring London. | The strolling was punctuated by chats and sightseeing. |

| Getting supper on a Sunday night in the City of London was a challenge. We went down to river level off Tower Bridge to St. Katharine's Wharf. | St. Katherine's was in Tudor times a hospital, then a poor quarter of town. It is now upscale apartments. |

| The only restaurant open was far too pricey for us. Starbucks, you see, has invaded | Most visitors that come to Britain are not used to cars coming on the left side of the road. So busy streets have warnings. |

We tried place after place. What few there were, were closed. It got dark. We though we wouldn't get food, then, down under a street, KFC to the rescue.
|
After about 7 hours without food, the three of us mowed through that KFC meal for four as if it were nectar of the gods. |

| I'm rather proud of this photo of Tower Bridge. It was taken with my little old 1-megapixel camera. My tripod was the top of a post on the Thames promenade. | This one wasn't too bad, either. This was the Tower of London when we were ushered in to witness The Ceremony of the Keys at 9:00 p.m. The experience of participating in living history was a thrill. |
