| The next morning, Sunday, Syd walked over to meet us at The Glen and take us to the famous Abbey Gardens in Bury. | Syd gave a very knowledgeable tour of the Benedictine Abbey ruins to us. |

| Syd and Marian's home is an historic building. Many different uses were made of it during the hundreds of years, including a pub of dubious reputation. | This is Marian's study. You can see the old timbers here. Syd gave the kids a tour of the house from attic to basement. |
